Eligibility varies for the themed interest LLCs. Most require an application to be completed and submitted. Please visit the page of the specific LLC for which you are interested for more information about application/eligibility, and to find contact information for their designated faculty/staff.
- Campus Pride
- Campus Pride is a Living Learning Community designed to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, and/or queer. Members of the LLC commit to making the community a safe and supportive space, advocating for the LGBTQ+ community on campus, and working to promote social justice and equity for all people.

- Students interested in the Campus Pride Living Learning Community (LLC) may apply by completing the application below. Students accepted into the LLC will be notified and assigned a room by the LLC partner below. If you have any prefrence or concern regarding room assignment, please specify this on the application. The application will be accepted on a rolling basis.

- Hope Chicago
- Hope Chicago’s scholarships remove financial barriers for CPS students and families, covering tuition, room and board, books and fees, plus an annual stipend. Hope Scholars also receive wraparound support like advising and mentoring to help them achieve their desired degree or certification. Hope Chicago is doing this with support and investment from our partner colleges and universities, non-profit organizations, and corporate and philanthropic donors working to see more students and parents have debt-free postsecondary success. Scholars can apply and enroll in 1 of 32 partner institutions. Southern Illinois University has the second-highest enrollment for Cohort 2023-2024.
- The Hope Chicago Scholars LLC is available to Hope Chicago scholars only. Scholars are provided with an early move-in date to ensure that they have adequate support for matriculation and transition to Southern Illinois University. Scholars are enrolled in a full-time course load and are required to participate in mandatory orientation sessions during the first week of the semester, attend class regularly, notify HCSPC (Hope Chicago Scholars Program Coordinator) before dropping a course, inform both course instructor as well as HCSPC in advance, should the scholar need to miss class, the scholar is expected to meet with HCSPC once weekly for scholars management, attend at least one cultural event, participate in two community service opportunities, a join at least one RSO a semester. Scholars must also participate in at least two workshops as a part of their educational plan and attend at least two study jams and two writing sessions/ tutoring sessions.

- Men of Color
- The Men of Color (MOC) aims to engage males in their educational experience through student development, critical mentorship, networking opportunities, and civic engagement activities.

- The ROTC LLC is open to cadets in the Army or Air Force ROTC program

- Highlights of programs/events/activities
- This community helps cadets build strong relationships with fellow cadets, mentors, and leaders. Cadets will have access to support networks and mentors within the ROTC program through the LLC. They will establish life-long relationships to help them professionally and personally through their military careers.
- Cadets will participate in physical training and social opportunities and share standard courses. While living in the ROTC LLC, students will be exposed to each military service's traditions, customs, and culture.
- Cadets will also participate in experiential learning such as historical site visits, team-building activities, and networking with alums.
- Participants will access on-site advising, a designated meeting room, study groups, tutoring, and mentoring by upper-class ROTC cadets.
- It is a challenge. It is an opportunity. It is a head-start on a lifetime of success within the Air Force and in everything you choose to do. Air Force ROTC offers two educational programs – the Air Force Senior ROTC Program and the Air Force Junior ROTC Program.
