Contract online through the housing portal beginning December 1. A $150 prepayment is required with the contract. Room selection for the residence halls will begin in May and your date will be based on the date you complete your contract. To access the contract, you'll need your Dawg Tag number and password.

Move in information can be found at Moving In - Residence Halls | University Housing | SIU. Be sure to bring your student ID or valid government issued photo ID (such as driver's license) to check in on your move-in day - you must have a valid government issued photo ID to get your official SIU ID card and you need the official SIU ID card to enter the dinining halls. Please be sure to have the required government issued photo ID with you when you arrive, so you can get your SIU ID card. More information about your official SIU ID card.

Students will be able to list preferences for areas and room type (single or double) when applying – preferences are considered, but not guaranteed when we assign rooms.  Special requests should be done via email to housing@siu.edu

Room assignments will be made beginning mid-December. You will be able to view the information on the housing portal once you have been assigned a room. This will include roommate/suitemate information if available.

CURRENT STUDENTS

Current residents do not need to complete a new contract for spring as their current contract is for the academic year and ends after completion of the spring semester.
