Not feeling well?

Feeling under the weather?
As an SIU resident, we want to help educate you on ways to stop the spread of germs.
- If you are not feeling well, stay home.
Let your roommate/suitemates/apartment mates know that you’re feeling unwell so that you can help avoid spreading any illnesses. Encourage each other to seek medical care if someone is not feeling well and do what we can to accommodate each other’s needs when people are sick or injured. - Clean your spaces.
If you’re feeling unwell, ensure that you’re cleaning your room and bathroom, or other shared spaces, with a disinfectant. If you need disinfectant, call Housing Facilities at 618-453-5778 between 8am-4pm M-F and we can provide you a bottle of disinfectant and a microfiber rag. - Wash your hands and wear a mask.
Wear a mask to prevent getting sick or spreading illness, if you’re not feeling well. Masks are available at the Dining Halls if you don’t already have one. Do be sure to dispose of disposable masks and wash reusable ones appropriately. - Take care of yourself.
A student may get a letter from the Student Health Center if they are seen and it is deemed appropriate for their condition. If you need to miss class or work, it is your responsibility to notify your professors or employers.
Culinary and Nutrition Services wants to help you stay fed while you get well. Utilize THIS FORM to get a Wellness Meal (lunch or dinner) for up to 5 days while you get well. We know that you will want to avoid crowds or crowded areas, if possible, such as the dining halls, so utilize this form to ensure you help to stop the spread. Please be sure to plan to bring your Student ID with you when you pick up the meals you request from your local dining facility.
Lastly, please see the Student Health Services website for their offered services and further guidance. Stay well and have a great semester!
