Staying in Touch

Check your SIU email regularly for important housing and campus information throughout the year. If you need to update your contact information or have questions, contact University Housing at housing@siu.edu or (618) 453-2301.

Internet Access in University Housing

Internet access is provided in all residence halls and on-campus apartments. Telephone service is not included. Students can set up and manage their connection through Information Technology.

Residence Halls (RezNet)

RezNet is the residence hall network at SIU.

  • Devices that support WPA2-Enterprise (such as laptops, tablets, and phones) should connect to the Eduroam network.
  • Devices that do not support WPA2-Enterprise but can use WPA2-Personal (such as game consoles, smart TVs, and streaming devices) should connect to SIU-limited.
  • Wired connections are available for devices that are not wireless capable.

Apartments (Wall & Grand, Elizabeth, and Evergreen Terrace)

Internet access is provided in these apartment communities. Setup instructions are available through SIU Information Technology at the link above.

Campus Technology Support

SalukiTech is SIU’s Information Technology Help Desk and supports students, faculty, and staff. Assistance is available online at helpdesk.siu.edu, in person at Morris Library 161A, or by phone at (618) 453-5155.
