Members of the College of Mass Communications and Media Arts (MCMA) Living Learning Community have some amazing advantages provided to them. LLC members can learn about career opportunities in their majors; meet faculty and staff; and be among the first to receive information about special events, guest speakers, and other opportunities. Kellogg Hall is in West Campus which is only a convenient four-minute walk from the Communications Building. LLC students also have access to a small computer lab in the lower level of Kellogg. Advantages like this can only improve your college experience and help you to be more prepared for the world after SIU.

Eligibility

The College of Mass Communications and Media Arts (MCMA) Living Learning Community is open to students with majors in the College, including:

  • Cinema-Photography Specializations (Fine Arts Photography; Commercial Photography; Cinema Production; Cinema Studies; Screenwriting; and Documentary, Experimental, Narrative, and Animated Film Production and Studies),
  • Journalism Specializations (Advertising, News, News Media Production, and Photojournalism), and
  • Radio, Television and Digital Media Specializations (Digital Media Arts & Animation, Electronic Journalism, Media Industries, Radio/Audio Production, and Television/Video Production).
